Roof View Place In Bangkok: Why You Should Stay Here

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The only accommodations I booked in advance for this trip were one night at a hotel near the airport then four nights at Roof View Place. It was perfect for my needs. I had a single room with private bath, wifi, balcony, fridge and breakfast included. There was room to unpack and store my clothes, gear etc. and the fridge was restocked with bottled water each day. The location was incredible for the Bangkok I was looking for. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Khao San area but in a quiet laid back area, locals and tourists meshed in the neighbourhood filled with small shops and out of the way places to eat. Laundry service was provided which I used and the charge was 40 baht/kilo. The staff were great as well and always willing to answer any questions. Roof View Place would be false advertising with a cool roof to chill out on. Nothing fancy but there were some tables and seating and the view around the city was decent. A pretty good spot for a beer or two or maybe catch a sunrise/sunset. The building was secure as well, at midnight the doors lock and a swipe card is included with your key for access. The rooms also come with a safe that is free of charge. Breakfast was decent and always had a Thai option. A fellow I met actually came and stayed here with a few friends when their stay ended at another guesthouse. The cost was 600 Baht/night but there are dorm options and splitting with other people to reduce the cost if needed. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, most likely in a few months if I’m through BKK again I will try and get a room.
