Canada is an overlooked country in my opinion when it comes to world travel. A country that spans three oceans (Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic), is one of the safest in the world, has some world class cities and offers geography and landscapes as diverse as anywhere should be a little higher on the list in my opinion. One area of the country that gets overlooked even by its own citizens is Newfoundland. I had the pleasure of attending a friends wedding there this summer. I was there for a week and was only able to experience St. John’s and the surrounding area but it was great time filled with drinks on a world famous street, some great sights and of course some killer seafood.

If you ever get the chance to go here don’t pass it up. The hospitality of this province is second to none, the seafood is some of the best and freshest you’ll ever eat and it is filled with history.

My Tips:

Eat at Ches’s Famous Fish And Chips
Visit Signal Hill
Tour Up To Cape Spear
Get drunk on George St.
Check out some live music at Shamrock City
